July 4th 2013 Trip

Here is a quick trip report from this visit with more to come:
Left Phoenix approx 7:15. Stop in Gila Bend at approx 8:45. McDonalds packed with happy travelers! The line was almost out the door. Into Ajo at 9:30 sharp. Border at 10:15 (green light) Beach at 11:30:) I was surprised to see some fireworks on Sandy Beach around 9:00 considering they are not allowed. It was quite windy yesterday and we expect the same today. Better tomorrow. More posts later..

I saw that.. I also noticed the checkpoint was gone just outside of RP. I thought it would be there this weekend.

Maybe it had more than 10000 dollars in it......great to see the checkpoint down....the army stop South of San Gorge has a Federal Police truck scanner....fries your testicles into Cicerones after the fifth scan the truckers say.
