Santo Tomas June 13/14 report

We caught all kinds of fish (some big fish some not so big fish), heck we even put the neighbor kid we rescued when his ATV ran out of gas on a big fish!

Looks like a lot of fun! Saw a catfish in one of those pictures - usually don't catch those.

They even grunted when they finned me

I'd never caught one before, but they were all over, not just in the estuary. I couldn't see any difference in them from a young channel cat, except they didn't have any spots or color at all, just a very pretty silver. They even grunted when they finned me.:grin:

Kenny you're correct, "Mexfish" shows them to be Channel catfish and they do live in saltwater.

We had a great time in Santo Tomas!

Thanks fellas for the invite. Its a shame the surf and wind kept us shore bound but with your guys as guides we caught fish!
