Hi everyone,
Well we made it to Puerto Penasco! Been here 2 weeks and already found a cute little house to rent in our budget with a yard for our big lab Sam. Anyway my elliptical couldn't make the trip, we just ran out of room. Anybody have one for sale? or know of one for sale? I really do not want to go to Arizona to buy one, and somebody's gotta have something....maybe one of these closed gyms...

Well we walk in the tide pools and Sam (our lab) runs in the surf. we watch the fishing boats come in, in the morning with their catch and buy fresh fish and huge shrimp that tastes like lobster. We love our little house and the neighborhood, too. I'm in a 12 step program and there are meetings earby in both English and Spanish. People are friendly and there seems to be yard sales and flea markets 24/7. My husband has found a couple of friends from when he was here years ago, and we are close to stores, gas, atms, coffee...our internet and tv got hooked up, we are snug in our cozy house. We are not sweating 24/7, like in Guerrero, and we are enjoying consistent lights, tv and internet. So yeah- we are pretty happy so far....

Hi Terry, If you can't find used...try upstairs at Coppel, across from the Lay or even Sams Club. Thinking I saw a variety of exercise equipment there.

You might buy a bike and join the local cycling club.It is really becoming popular in Caborca and I saw Puerto Penasco has one too.Plus take the bikes up to the pinacate entrance for great safe pavement ride or park at a rest stop on the coastal outside of desemboque and ride to Lobos
thnx all! Coppel indeed has something I'm considering, I do have a bicycle, too, but I love my machine with my headphones on screaming out the songs, mostly from the 70's with my eyes closed and lettin' it all hang out ha ha! The search continues....
There is or was a segunda that specialized in exercise equipment. Recall it being on the street that meets Benito Juarez where Portugal Insurance is on the corner. Down near the circle K on the left side of the street.

Note I have a Universal weight station that cost a couple grand in the day...free if you come take it apart and pick it up...would be great for a gym in RP

That "Old Geezer" he's refering to is me. Actually that's an upgrade in his mind because I used to be the "Old Fart".
I'm in Green Valley, but the problem is, I have no idea when I'm going to Rocky Point again. I know for sure I'll be there
on April 25th, and I hope to get there sometime before, but I just don't know when. Also, I doubt my vehicle will hold that machine.
I'd like to help, but I don't think it'll work this time. Now Jerry seems to have plenty of time. Maybe he could slide over to GV,
buy me lunch and then take the machine to you. You see Jerry, I do believe in a free lunch.
ok thanx- so where is the elliptical? In Green Valley? In Tuscon? If it's Green Valley, how far is that from here? Hours I mean...Maybe I could drive up there, but it depends on how far....
Hi Terri, my boyfriend Jerry, not the Jerry on this site, has a Gazelle machine he would sell you for 50 bucks. It's not exactly an Elliptical machine but similar. You can google it and look at the differences. I have a trailer that we can bring it down in and we are pretty sure we are coming on the 28th....

Thanx for your offer but I think i want to stick with the Elliptical- I got one a few years back and really liked it. Now it's down in Playa Ventura, Guerrero and I may not ever move it up here. So I'm going to try to get one up here. Are you anywhere near Tuscon or Green Valley? Would you consider bringing that one down here? I am not clear where it is exactly, but hopefully will know soon ha ha. Let me know- thanx- also- looking forward to meeting you! Merry Christmas!

Hi Terri, I'm in Phoenix and Green Valley is about 140 miles from here and then its around 200 more miles to Penasco from there. If Playa comes down in his pick up truck, he could probably bring you one.....I'll look on Craigslist here......

OK Terri I'll check it later and give you some prices. We may not make it down this weekend and even if we do, we peobably couldn't bring it. I have no idea how much it weighs and Jerry just had surgery almost 6 weeks ago and is still on lifting restriction. I don't know if thje 2 of us could lift it together.......

Elliptical....looked ok for a cheap machine.I bought a livestrong for my boss that cost 1200 bucks this year and thought it wasn't heath club quality. Ended up taking the giant assed thing back and getting him a bike model....he doesn't use that either but it takes up less room
