Was fishing out of Cholla bay on Oct. 30th and landed this 155lb Black Sea Bass. We missed about 4 other ones on good strikes but only managed to get this one in.
Nice fish. That size is a lot better eating than the last two monsters we caught last year but still a blast to catch. Did you make it out to the deep water 40-50 miles out and if so was the bite on for other species?
We were out around 40 miles and this seemed to be the only thing biting. We originally were after big sardinero but no luck. We were out the day before around the 22 and got a 10 lb white sea bass and a few calico bass.
