I've seen some folks down on Baja that had this device. It was pretty cool, but is just for casual snorkeling, not diving down deeper for clams and such.
The guy (I think it was Aldolfo) who took us diving in Puerto Lobos would be ecstatic to dive on this system. He had an old oily shop compressor with about a 100’ of air compressor hose with a regulator attached to the end. 4 or 5 hours down 50’ – 60 ‘ and then up for 20 – 30 min to eat something and then back in the water. Had no concept of a dive plan or decompression procedures. The new dive shop at the Sonoran Sea is working on teaching the locals who dive using these methods about how to do it more safely.

And the compressor was probably getting nice clean air from that engine exhaust....NOT!
Stuart did you look at the prices on those units..? I think I paid less than the cost of that single unit to get all of my gear and certifications... and now I find it more fun to breath-hold and freedive...

Dan fon't forget that the reserve tank was an old Bud light keg..
How long does it take to get certified? do they offer classes to individual's or do you need a certain number of
people for them to do it? what about cost?
I have been diving sense 1978 and have stopped because I am out of shape. When I get back in shape I will start to dive again. If you don't look out for yourself and no your limits you will die. It's just sad that these kids might have no clue what danger they are putting them self's in.
