This is one of the best weekends of the year. I've been down the last five years in a row. The town turn in to rolling thunder. The fish market closes down to cars and the bikers parade through doing tricks and burn outs. Calle 13 and Playa Bonita are also good places to hang out. When the bikers register for the rally part of the money goes to local charities
Rolling Thunder has come to RP. Over 600 reigistered so far and talk of maybe 6,000 participants, not all register and pay the $10. Visited with a couple of guys from Alberta who were enjoyng RP.
It's ok for kids, just don't stand too close to the bikes burning rubber on the Malecon. There's a custom John Deere tractor bike that the kids would love to see. Three wheeler kitted out like a John Deere.
It was nice to meet you, El Semental. That John Deer was really nice. I think attendance was down but but the party was hardy. You got to love those "mature women"
