Tuesday 6 Sep 22 a major hurricane will be churning at the mouth of the Sea of Cortez. Thursday it will ripping its way north up the Gulf feeding on the hot sea water and monsoon sodden air. Time to batten down the hatches boys and girls.
Dude! Give me whatever you're smoking!!! Fuck! I love that good shit. Are you talking about Javier? The one heading out into the middle of the Ocean towards Hawaii??????!!!!!!
Just got a dust and severe weather alert from our new "nanny state . GOV" app on our two "smart" phones. You would think the Commies were sending their ICBM's this way. They will always be there to "help" us out!
They really think we are just fucking retards with the brain of a five year old don't they!
We will do five day old pizza instead of a rib eye and red potatoes steamed on the grill all dusted with the herbicide/pesticide/salt infected particulate shit that will be raining down on us for the rest of the night.

Hey JJ,
We get to PP September 12th and will be there for a week or so, would love to do another beach run if you're going to be in town?
AZRob I'll have shore fishing reports in a week or so, I fish the Los Conchas beach every morning in front of our place and check out the estuaries in the afternoon depending on the tides. Never been down in September but we were there last August and fishing was kind of slow.
We will be down there on Thursday the 29th for a week or so. All of the salt flats behind the coastal dunes from Santo Tomas up to Salinas Point are probably monsoon flooded mire pits by now. So we will be hitting the beach at El Desemboque then run up to Santo Tomas for the return to the Highway.
Last weekend we spent one day looking for the little Pronghorn herd up in the hills that we saw last spring. We didn't see a single one even though the desert was green with newly leafed out shrubs, Galleta Grass clumps and annuals sprouting up. The Saguaro Cactus and Senita Organ Pipes were fat and bloated. Got a five inch Saguaro spine punched through the inside sidewall of my right rear tire. Made it home without switching out the spare with a couple of air-ups with my Scuba cylinder. Got it patched on Sunday for 100 pesos at my favorite llantera so now ready for the beach again.
Word is Santo Tomas jefe is planning to shut off the ramp access soon as construction of condos will require it.
The current long-range forecast cone indicates that what could be Hurricane Kay by then has the potential for landfall along the Baja California coast on Thursday or Friday, and Hurricane Watches may be necessary along portions of the Baja California peninsula later Monday.
"While the details of the long-range track and intensity forecasts are uncertain, there is increasing risk of wind and rainfall impacts in the Baja California peninsula during the middle and latter parts of the week," National Hurricane Center forecasters wrote.
Meanwhile, even as Kay stays offshore of mainland Mexico Monday and Tuesday, heavy rains could lead to flash flooding and landslides along portions of the Mexican Rivera.
The EYE of this hurricane is projected to pass over PP on next Saturday 11 Sep 22.
Gonna be some serious rockin' & rollin' this comming Saturday night folks.
JJ
Right again, the eye is going to miss us, but wind gusts up to 55 mph with rain for Friday and Saturday. Nice talking to you at the Pink Cadillac 3 or 4 weeks ago at breakfast time..
Dude! Give me whatever you're smoking!!! Fuck! I love that good shit. Are you talking about Javier? The one heading out into the middle of the Ocean towards Hawaii??????!!!!!!
He said the 11th in his post. Javier was long gone..
He said the 11th in his post. Javier was long gone..
Actually buddy when I commented 5 days ago Javier was just off the tip of baja. But you're 5 days late to the party and now, yes, Javier is long gone. Furthermore, I already specified "the one behind" Javier which again, 5 days ago hadn't been named yet. Now it's name is Kay. Kay is NOT projected to come anywhere NEAR the Sea of Cortez or Rocky Point.
HENCE WHY I ASKED JJ WHAT THE FUCK HE'S SMOKING!!! Now, local weather does say we have a 25% chance of rain due to MOISTURE from the gulf this weekend here in AZ.
But you're 5 days late to the party.
Take JJ's CORNDOG out of your throat and try reading first.
His post said the 11th and the eye I mentioned is going to miss us, but wind gust are expected to be 50 mph..

Come on over tonight Joe...........
We will be grilling some rib eyes on the Mesquite bar-bee at around 9 pm. And yes with some killer ganja.
I get my weather updates from WWW.WINDY.COM. This is a new hurricane of monster proportions not the one out in the Pacific today.
Later,
JJ
Read thisI know what I read. After you asked him what he was smoking, in red is what he posted, he was never referring to Javier...Mr. Corndog a couple days early. In reference to Joes comment about JJ's corndog.. sorry JJ, Mr. Corndog is hetrosexual. With the title of this thread being Big Blow On The Way... I just thought i would state my sexuality. Thank you
Don't worry too much about Joe. He is actually a really good guy. Just a little expressive when he gets riled up over the smallest little thing.
Reminds me of the words to that song........"liquor on his breath and trouble on his mind....gotta be bad just to have a good time"
He's probably pissed because he's smart enough not to take his new little beater too far offshore to nab some Do-do's with this hurricane on it's way.
Also, that storm is still projected to jump the peninsula. Yuma is getting ready for the hit on Friday and Saturday not to mention Ensenada to San Diego.
Last week we took off from PP for a Baja trip, first stop San Felipe then Bahia Gonzaga, Bahia Los Angeles, Guererro Negro, Santa Rosalia then Mulege,, when we checked into the hotel in San Felipe and got settled, I started lurking on this site as I always do, read your post and in the morning packed up and came back to PP.. So thanks for the post.. You saved me from a muddy mess..speaking of dodos my kid caught lots of them on a flyrod and a couple yellowfin tuna in San Diego last week..

Well Bummer JJ probably not going to see you this trip
but we'll be back down late October or sometime in November, I'll keep you posted. The Salinas Point run was super cool looking forward to doing it again, learning some more and hopefully make some casts! Good job on the weather forcast!!

Believe it or don't..............................................................
I just read that the new "BIG BLOW" heading our way is the first Pacific hurricane ever to be identified as
"GAY" as in queer or fag or mentally ill.
Since the official name of the storm is now KAY as in Kaytlin or Kaytoe and will either blow or suck leftish or rightish depending on whatever way the wind itself blows and sucks, we are all awaiting it's official sexual orientation before condemning it for the expected and guaranteed damage that will most certainly follow. One way or another it will be brutish or femish.

You are right again JJ, 100 % I believe.. This is evidence, somebody spoke of JJ's corndog and now we have Kay...

Just got our nanny-state warnings on our "smart phones"............to all Yuma residents that our fire stations have sand bags both filled and empty to fill your own available right now! Ain't that odd?
Just about everyone got hammered and lots of beachfront sand has disappeared, especially along Sandy Beach & Las Conchas. Cholla, haven't seen anyone mention issues there, seems like they were spared. Check the Penasco groups on Facebook for videos and pics. Video of a balcony in LC collapsing was notable. Also, all of the (sewage?) pipes from the condos & resorts along Sandy Beach going to the ocean were exposed.
Here is the local government trying to explain what those pipes are for, saying they are for rainwater runoff (haha), pool water, irrigation water and washing the facilities. Not black water. Just chlorine, bleach, etc.
In Cholla some sea walls failed on the Seaside but from Tucson beach all the way around to the bay it seems they were protected, the houses I remodeled behind Xochitls had a river running on the road in front of them but we sit up pretty high so we had no damage. I would imagine that the properties along the bay on the water front got some flooding from run off. The wind was bad but not as bad as the storm surge. It wiped out several restaurants in the Malecon, the walking pier for the Point restaurant is totally gone and the building sustained major damage is is 100 percent non accessible. it tore the beach up in front of the condos but the beach at Reef Rv as well as Playa bonita looked great and were fairly busy with beachgoers yesterday (Sunday), but Wrecked at the Reef took it very hard as they have a lot of assets on the beach in front of the main building. Parts of Las Conchas got hit very hard with many sea wall failures and entire porch systems falling in to sea, but then I talked to a guy Sunday about his place in Miramar down south from Encanto and he said it was almost a non event for them. Of course the Mirador was slammed and flooded, Playa de Oro had sea water from the surge all throughout the park all the way back to the entrance off the paved road. The crew at PDO wisely moved many Rv's from the park the day before minimizing damage to them. Part of their seawall failed and the amount of sand in the park was amazing, right next door at the Pitaya bar the sand inundated the entire bar all the way back to the bathrooms about a foot or more of sand. Mannys was washed up pretty good too, anything on the beach area is gone. They are open now. We drove around Sunday to check all of this out. It was pretty incredible. It all came together and happened on a super high tide.

Great report ! Russ what is your take on those sewage pipes ?
My personal take on those pipes would mimic what the city has reported them to be, water relief tubes from the common areas and the parking lots which all have built in drains. If they were human waste water as some like to claim for whatever reason, then it seems to me that they would have a picture of the pipes running brown or black water out of them but instead nothing is coming out. The reason nothing is coming out despite the fact there are many people in the condos right now...means there is no more water to drain from all the rainfall we had. That's my personal take, I am not an engineer and I don't live in the condos but repeatedly the beaches here are certified clean beaches by the Federal government and that couldn't be the case if human waste water was being pumped under the sand
I agree with Russ.
There are 2 sewer waste treatment plants for the resorts that I'm aware of (are all hooked up?)
One at the west end of Cholla Mall, another one North of the Sonoran properties.
They use the recycled water for the golf courses and to water the road to Cholla Bay.
If those pipes were for sewage, wouldn't they be also going out to sea past the beach? I would think so.
Russ, several people told me the walkway to The Point is still there. The issue is this photo that was taken on the far left end, the walkway on the right is cut off, so it makes it appear to be gone. The left end of the pic shows the damage to the building.
I guess we can say adios to the entire nesting season for sea turtles this year. There may still be a window of opportunity in two weeks during the big tides on 25 Sep 22.
Also, for those with the vehicles to get there, the beaches should be awash with the treasures from the deep ripped from their homes offshore.
I will be smelly but worth it. The scavengers will be fat and happy.
Also, there is another storm that is developing that might mimic the one last week.

Maybe they turned a valve to divert the poop back to whatever they call a sewage system as soon as the sewage pipes were exposed.
Maybe the whole berg is floating on a sea of shit.
My next door neighbor in Mirador who hasn't been seen for two years now has a sinkhole in his front yard six feet across and who know how deep that swallowed hundreds of gallons of rain water in the past month. Smells "fishy" to me. An "illegal" cistern maybe?
Even if the so called sewage system works in Mirador why is there liquid sewage gushing out of the manholes in the middle of several intersections there?
It is a known fact that anywhere there are fat happy Sargent Majors and Opal Eyes they are feeding on a steady supply of human turds.
