Public Safety Specialist Eduardo Guerrero shared that the arrest of Rafael Caro Quintero will generate a pause in the violence that increased in recent years on the coast of Baja California, as currently the drug trafficker is e ncontraba at the front of the Caborca cartel, which generated much of the violence in the area.

This Friday, July 15, 2022, Rafael Caro Quintero was detained after a Navy operative in the municipality of Choix, Sinaloa.
The leader of the extinct Guadalajara cartel Rafael Caro Quintero had become the most wanted fugitive by the DEA, the United States Drug Control Administration, following the death of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena in 1985.
The agency was offering a $20 million reward for information leading to their capture.
In its bill, the DEA added the warning that Caro Quintero was dangerous.
