In the last week armed gunmen have setup air tight nightly checkpoints.....don't be in the wrong place at the wrong time ...avoid it and all dusk till dawn travel in the caborca coastal region while this flareup occurs.

So sad. El Desemboque was a treasured “old Mexico” stop for at one time. There was no electricity, great little mom & pop restaurants and a great fishing business.

"He assured that they had had enough of him and that there would be no more concessions, or we would submit and he would give us work or else they would put us in jail or they would disappear us," said Gabriel Robledo. Rafael Pavlovich arrived at the El Bajío ejido with a caravan of 6 vehicles escorted by two army units. Says the guy who always insults Mexico...I on the otherhand like the place and am friends with many officials...My point is again things change...elections have consequences and in this case the Ejido and its claims to the mine may not be robbed by a Pri gangster clan ....

Sonora Mexico now has a leftist leaning governor....pretty amazing and the elite are spooked....we will see how this goes....he's also a deal maker that wont push the drug war too hard...the Mayor of Caborca likewise....lets hope funds flow to that underfunded area

The gun battle was just showing the amount of heavy fire in a area with civilians…a bunch…
