Doctors in Tijuana are falling like flies and its not from exhaustion. I wonder if the same thing is happening here in Penasco and they are not reporting in fear of causing panic in such a small town. Has anyone noticed the constant sirens from ambulances when the town is on lock down. It's worse than spring break and Semana Santa with all the sirens now. Are they covid-19 patients and are being transported to a larger facility to be treated and our numbers here remain at zero???

Don't count on Rocky Point officials to be honest about the Chinese virus anymore than China has been.

It's not logical or probable that Penasco is virus free.

Yea Joan, completely correct. Well the story is going around that suspected cases have been shipped to Hermosillo and if positive hospitalized there. Word is that Hermosillo hospital is full and will no longer accept transfers.

A lot of this situation is a giant puzzle to me. Why were there a group of unprotected bomberos sitting around close to each other without masks or any protection at the big roadblock in front of the main bomberos yesterday. ?? Why was the owner MD of one of the clinics sitting in his waiting room next to some others, he without mask or gloves? After the recent debacale of infected workers in their parking lot why does Ley permit untested and unprotected people to work in their parking lot. They do a good job at the door with hand sanitizer and checking masks .

I do not offer this to conspiracy theorists, I offer it to stupidity and lack of organized informed concern. A little clip of unexplainable human behavior.

open the town, If you are afraid stay home, this is just another flue that is different this time around. All flu's kill people this is no different.

It's common sense if you're in fear of the virus stay home . Common flue kills between 30,000 and 60,000 and we all have lived with those numbers for years .

If you took the time and knew a little biology and would read you might understand what is happening. Otherwise, yes you are subject to fake news of the virologist in the top office. How has the flu affected job losses and the food supply chain. All be it temporary or maybe not. Time will tell

Plus we have a vaccine every year that works pretty well for most. I always get vaccinated because I work in the faces of the public and have yet to get the flu.

Maybe something good will come out of this for our country. Won't be pleasant for those connected to some of these ideas.

Maybe some of the companies will go out of business because they didn't have sufficient capitol or access to credit
to survive even a mild economic downturn.

There's a lot of new and existing businesses that will shutter because of this, think of all the Zombie companies existing because of access to
cheap $$. It's actually good for a healthy economy for them to not exist.
But then the $5-10 TRILLION Dollars (when it's all done) being thrown at businesses will soften the blow.

Think of all the people who live in debt and live pay check to pay check, these people will suffer and may lose their places to live
and their livelihood, because for many, coming up with $500 is tough for many of this group.

Why? Either they spend way more than they earn and don't know how to budget or they are part of the 30% who work making
less than $12 per hour, with no or minimal benefits and less than 40 hours.

I tell all my kid's when applying for a job if they lowball you, counter with what you want and why you deserve it.
If they say no, say thank you and say I'm worth more than what you're offering to another company out there.
And walk out the door.
Remedy,
Businesses need to re-think minimum wages, If I was offered a minimum wage job, I think they must be expecting minimum work.
If only all workers at the bottom of the wage scale would do this the day's of businesses offering minimum wages will disappear.
