That is correct , the Chinese new of this virus last December and did nothing to protect the spread and here we are with the Chinese virus .
Last December no one knew how serious this virus is or were sure of it's independent existence. Tracking mortality, rate of spread and incidence through TESTING, determining exactly what this disease is, how it is spread established How serious it its. There is a whole science and branch of medicine around this called EPIDEMIOLOGY.

There is no treatment for the disease so it is treated symptomatically, reducing the symptoms not the disease. Testing will not cure the virus but it can reduce the spread and impact of it.
