There was a bad time around then. The plaza manager of Sonoyta had his whole organization rolled up In the US. It was big in the news at the time. A vast fortune in cash and product was lost to the law enforcement in the US ass well as the system that created it. . He was in Mexico and the US could not touch him but he was responsible to make the loss good to his organization. that's the way they do it. Last I knew he was hiding out selling his gold jewelry to live on. That was years ago maybe 2013. It left a vacuum that others wanted to fill and resulted in some conflict.
