Can anyone explain why we have so many flies right now?

I'm guessing that it is a result of all the rain . . . . flooding . . . . decay . . . perfect breeding grounds.

Combination of the all the rain and time of the year, they can get bad in April-early June and again when the weather cools in Oct-Nov.
How are the mosquito's? I figured they would be getting bad by now because of the rain, only saw a coupe of them in Cholla 2 weeks ago.

Flies in East LC were extremely bad 3 weeks ago. Could not open your mouth outside. Extremely aggressive as well. Some of the big fat black ones and the smaller model. I suspect that they lay eggs which are stimulated to hatch after a soaking rain. Still here and aggressive and annoying but far fewer, Few mosquitoes yet but maybe soon.
