we're planning our return to Cabo after not going down since 2004.
used to use Pisces, but were not satisfied last trip - not aggressive enough
for our liking.
have been recommended the following, please comment and add suggestions please!

would prefer a twin screw, like a 31 bertram - not really interested in a 28' single engine unless HIGHLY recommended boat and crew.

saw that Juanitas is more a a referral than their own fleet, did talk to owner Robert Scott, seems nice enough, but not convinced.

love the Picante fleet, but not at 1000/day or more.

any suggestions?

there are a TON of charters there!

thanks!

Ask if it's the same Roberto that used to fish on a boat called the "Ya-yo". If it is, book him. He is excellent. Will fish what you want to fish, not just take you out, hook a marlin, then come back in. He put us on a nice school of pargo one trip (dog tooth snapper). We had an absolute blast!

will ask about that - thanks.

looking ahead, we don't know how many our group may be.
we're also considering a day fishing East cape - so if anyone has any leads for there, please chime in!

We have fished with him 3 times and he has put us on fish every time. We've caught Marlin ,Wahoo,Dorado. It was always a great trip.

seems I recognize that ID from the TTOL board :)
thanks for the east cape info.

we made it to JVD and the soggy dollar, but left for the willie t after about 4 hours to catch happy hour there.
never quite made it by Ivans to stop and say hello.
maybe we'll catch up in Mexico sometime!

with just the 2 of us on this trip, wanted to make at least one reservation ahead of time to look forward to, so Gene recommended Gordo Banks Pangas as a good reliable charter to shoot for the elusive wahoos.
we've booked one day with them, just can't see spending what a cruiser costs these days for just the 2 of us.
we'll take a ride up east cape also and see what happens there also at the Buena Vista.
thanks for your ideas, we'll certainly post about anything we catch.
sure hope to add that orange flag to the string :)
