a couple of you mention having some dental work done in Mexico, any in PP?

8-) I've used Dr. Socorro for years. She charges around $210 for a crown. I've had four done. She is pain free and speaks great English. She is around the corner from the hotdog stand just off Benito Juarez.

My family has used Dr. Hernandez for years. He's done root canals,caps,implants,bridges and all the basic stuff. He is cheaper than than our insurance. He also has American training.

I've used Rocky Smiles.....Dr. Acuna...off Fremont past the Pemex station (the first one....not the one by Las Conchas). She has her own lab onsite.

There are so many dentists in Penasco that even residents can be confused. Long time referrals are perhaps the safest guide, although this does not do justice to highly trained new arrivals. No argument about the legacy of Dr. Socorro. Dr. Hernandez has also established a long time reputation of competency. He is now focussing on implants. Dr. Yamamoto has a competent staff of specialists from root canals to oral surgery. He takes the necessary time to pay attention to detail.
