Ha! I've never seem this behavior from the dolphins in Penasco. They will come up and play around the boat and jump in the wake, but they won't even take a fish if you toss it to them. The sea lions, however, are a totally different story. Not beggars, but thieves. We've had some nice fish snatched or severely chewed by the sea lions when fishing all over the area. They're still amateurs compared to the ones in California that can bite a live sardine or anchovy off just short of the hook. They can be a real pest when they come around the boat. The true beggars in Penasco are the pelicans. We always flip them some leftover bait, but never human food.

Yes the Pelicans are bad. It seems I catch or tangle at least one when we fish. Boy do they get mad.
